BIRD CONTROL SYDNEY

bird control, pest control

Urban birds can cause significant problems in and around buildings and structures. These pests include Pigeons, European Starlings, Indian Myna and Sparrows. It is important to choose the correct method or control measure for the species and situation so we can relieve the many pest problems caused by their presence.

Birds roost on ledges, window sills and any weather protected area they can find. They also roost in roof voids and cavities of homes, units and commercial premises.

Commercial and industrial awnings protecting load dock areas provide multiple positions for these urban birds to set up camp.

Once this has happened you will constant droppings falling on your product or produce and this can cause unpleasant smells, contamination and even diseases. These droppings are also very acidic and can cause damage to cars, buildings and stored product.

Birds nesting within or around a building can be the source of unpleasant bird mites. Once the young have left the nest these mites then have to feed off warm blood and can attach to humans.

Pestige Solutions have a great range of different Bird Control measures to use against these flying pests. Each Bird control System offers a discreet, economical solution and are all relatively difficult to see from the ground. Different Bird Control methods include repelling, proofing, poisoning and trapping.

BIRD CONTROL REPELLING METHODS

The upward-pointing metal spikes provide a physical barrier to prevent the birds from landing on ledges, signs, beams, pipes, etc. They are stainless steel points in UV – stabilised polycarbonate bases. When affixed to resting areas they are relatively difficult to see from the ground. For pigeons or larger birds.

bird control Bird Shock Flexi-Track

A low profile electrified tract which is fixed to resting areas – ledges, balconies, signs, etc. Bird Shock Flexi-tract conforms to any surface shape. It’s make from UV stabilised PVC and stainless steel. The intermittent shock is painful but DOES NOT hurt the birds, it simply teaches them to stay away, long term. The charges send a pulse down the track every two to three seconds. Available in a wide variety of colours to match the structure, it is hard to notice close up and virtually invisible from the distance

Bird Wire

This is tensioned wire between two points along ledges, beams, pipes, balconies, etc. In light infestations the tensioned wire can offer a discreet, economical solution. This system can only be used to resting areas only. For pigeons or larger birds

BIRD CONTROL PROOFING

bird control Wire Mesh

Mesh is used in most small aperture jobs. These include when birds are nesting through broken vents, tiles and even missing bricks. Usually these methods are only a patch up job until a licensed builder or roof tiler fixes or re-points your roof.

bird control Bird Netting

Netting can be used on any enclosed or semi-enclosed area, opening or building configuration where pest birds are to be excluded.

The netting is attached to a tensioned stainless steel cable which is anchored on the structure perimeters. Bird netting is extremely difficult to see from just a few meters away.

It provides a harmless and impenetrable barrier against all birds. The Polyethylene net is ultra – violent resistant and is manufactured using the most advanced technology in the world. Among its long lasting ability it can also cover large areas.

Eg. Light wells, balconies, commercial/industrial awnings over truck entrances/loading docks protecting RSJ beams and lights which are ideal roosting areas.

BIRD CONTROL REPELLING POISONING

Bird Baiting

a pre-baiting and baiting method can be used to eradicate large numbers of birds. Certain substances mixed with the designated birds normal feed is designed to eliminate large numbers of these pests. A permit must be obtained from the National Parks & Wildlife for each premises before this method can be carried out.
